Wishing for towels

{Warning- this post contains vomit talk}
Yesterday Angel baby had a tummy bug.
Luckily it only caused her to vomit (alot) without any pain involved. She was such a little trooped just taking herself off to the toilet whenever she needed to. By tea time she was really hungry and wanting a chocolate milk to go with her dinner. I had already made Chili Con Carne. I tried to explain to her that milk and certain foods might make her more sick, she seemed to understand (or at least take my word for it). I think it may have also had something to do with her special dinner of Chicken (bear) Noodle Soup.
Unfortunately the Chicken (bear) Noodle Soup made her sick (a few times). She had one accident early in the evening so when I went to bed I brought her in with us as I wasn't sure how she would manage with a bucket on her own in the middle of the night and I only had one set of single sheets left.
This morning at 2am Little Man had a tummy bug.
I had already been in to settle him twice so I thought he was just having a rough night until I heard 'the cough' on the way to his room and suddenly wished that I had both fed him Chicken (bear) Noodle Soup for tea instead of Chili Con Carne and remembered to put towels by his bed (oh how I wished that I had remembered the towels). Poor Little Man hasn't vomited since he was a baby and I think he was scarred by the whole experience. However when he finally calmed down he was in such a happy mood asking to go in the swing and then trying to help me clean the carpet.
Once the carpet was clean and the sheets in the wash we did a little bed shuffle with the kids and myself ending up in my bed and Daddy in Angel Baby's (as he had work in the morning). I was armed with buckets, towels on the bed and old blankets on the floor (there was no way I was going to be stuck cleaning vomit out of carpet twice in the one night). However I didn't end up needing them and would have been better off with soothing sleepy music and lots of lavander for the Little Man who thought it was party time and insisted that Angel Baby and I join him.
(I don't think I will be having Chili Con Carne for a while)
