fairies.

Did you know we have fairies in our yard?
I told her that I thought they looked more like butterflies. She told me that they were actually fairies and that they drank the nectar from our flowers.
Who am I to argue with a three year old who obviously knows more about fairies then I do (I had mistakenly thought they were butterflies)?
She wanted to catch a butterfly. She told me you needed a bucket and some flowers with nectar to get them to come to you.
You then have to hold the bucket to the sky and say, "Here fairies, fairies, here fairies, fairies" in a high pitched voice (because we all know animals and fairies come better if you use a high pitched voice). Today she had no luck.
However she wasn't too worried as she soon became interested in the silent activities of this little man. I wonder what those round green things are he is putting into and tipping out of his watering can?
Tomatoes. Green tomatoes. Green tomatoes that are not meant to be picked until they are red tomatoes. A whole kiddy bucket full of green tomatoes!
Oh well, at least we have fairies in our garden.
